Script

-Phone call-  
Sound is faint when the other person is speaking, as they are not present in the scene.
Rachel: Hello?
James: Hey love, I was just checking to see that you're going to be ready for my to pick you up in half an hour.
Rachel: Oh, yeah (.) yeah I'll be ready by then. That's fine.
James: OK good, how was your day then?
Rachel: It was good, work was a little dull today but.. *Message tone*
-Rachel looks at her phone to see a text message and reads it-
James: Hello? Rachel? Are you there still? -few seconds pause-
Rachel: (2) Oh sorry, yes I'm here. But I've probably got to go and get ready now. As I'll never be ready in time yeah? I'll see you later though, bye.
James: OK ill see you later then, love you.
Rachel: OK (.) bye.

-In the car- 
James: So, what do you want to do this weekend? Maybe go somewhere if the weather's right?
Rachel: Yeah okay, I don't want to do too much though. Got all my papers for work to do..
James: Okay, um well we don't have to do much, just thought it would be nice to spend some time together.
Rachel: (2) Yeah.
James: Or you know what? We could look up holidays for next year like I was telling you about last week. What about Spain? Or we could even go somewhere further like New Zealand or the States?
Rachel: Sounds good, although, do we really have the time to go next year? You know with your work and mine, then the stress off planning it. Lets just wait until next month when I know whats going to happen about work next summer.
James: Okay, but seriously Rachel (2) don't get too caught up about work, just have 1 week off where we can go away, just us, and relax. Its not like you to say no to a holiday?

-Walking up the stairs-
James: It is beautiful here isn't it? 
Rachel: Yeah (2) the fountains nice ..
James: It is, let me show you inside!

-In the lift-
James: Right, up here. Isn't it nice that this place uses the old fashioned lifts? 
Rachel: Yeah, its nice (1) are you sure it's safe?
James: Definitely! I've used this lift so many times, trust me.

-In the restaurant-
1-James: So how was your mums birthday last week?
2-Rachel: Yeah it was nice, we went out to dinner and that was nice (2) we had Mexican in that place in town.       
4-Rachel: Really? That's good (2) yeah it was good, I had a really lovely starter and pudding, but I wasn't as sure on the main. It was probably nice but I'm not very good with Mexican, it's not my favorite cultural cuisine.
5-James: Oh (.) oh okay well I'm sure she had a nice day anyway.
6-Rachel: Yeah..
7-James: Let me get someone to order our drinks
8-Rachel: Oh, I'll go to the bar to get them, don't worry it's fine. Saves us waiting for service anyway.
9-James: You sure?
10-Rachel: Yeah yeah, it's fine. (Goes to the bar to order drinks)


-At the bar-
1-Dylan: Hey you, what do you want then?
2-Rachel: A bottle of your house wine please, white.
3-Dylan: OK, coming up..
4-Rachel: You're still up for Wednesday, are you?
5-Dylan: Of course darling, would never miss a day that I get to be with you
6-Rachel: *laughs shyly*
7-Dylan:Right, seeming as I've just used up the last of the wine, I'll go grab some more and you can go sit down. I'll bring the drinks to your table.
8-Rachel: Awh thank you, I'll see you in a but then love. (sits back down to table)

-At the table-
Rachel: The bar's bringing them over, as they had to go get another bottle as they ran out.
James: Ahh okay, not to worry. But thank you for ordering those love.
Rachel: It's fine, saves the staff  coming over.

*ellipsis*

James: We better get going actually, as you had to be home for 11 didn't you? Wasn't your sister going to call you?
Rachel: Yeah she was, 11 is the only time we can speak due to the time difference really.
James: Okay then lets go.

-Outside-
James: I had a really nice time actually, was nice to send some time actually together..
Rachel: Yeah thank you (2) it was nice. Maybe we could go again in a few weeks
James: Of course
Rachel: The staff are really lovely here too, and the locations good too
James: Yeah they are, and yes I really like the... (COLLAPSES)
Rachel:  *screams* (1) James!! James? What's happened? (4) *shouts* Somebody!
(waiter/Dylan walks outside and goes to hug Rachel)
Dylan: Isn't this what you wanted?
Rachel: What?! For my boyfriend to DIE??
Dylan: Well I wouldn't phrase it that way, but wasn't it meant to be me and you together (2) like you said last week. You said you didn't want him any more.

(Flashback)
